Online Anxiety Therapy in English
Anxiety is a useful alarm system. When it stays switched on, narrows your choices or begins to organise everyday life around avoidance, therapy can help you regain freedom and confidence.
International enquiries are welcome. Before an appointment is agreed, availability is confirmed according to the rules that apply where you will be located during the session.
Possible signs
When anxiety makes life smaller
Anxiety does not look the same for everyone. It may appear as constant worry, physical tension, fear of judgement or an increasing need to avoid situations that once felt manageable.
- persistent worry and repetitive thinking
- avoiding places, conversations, travel or decisions
- physical tension, a racing heart or shortness of breath
- a strong need for control or repeated reassurance
- sleep problems, exhaustion or difficulty concentrating
- fear of rejection, embarrassment or losing control
Understanding the difficulty
Understanding anxiety instead of fighting it
Anxiety is often maintained by an interaction between past experiences, physical alarm reactions, threatening interpretations and protective behaviour. Avoidance brings relief in the short term, but it can also reinforce the belief that a situation is genuinely unmanageable.
We therefore look beyond the immediate trigger. Together, we examine thoughts, body reactions, safety behaviours and the personal experiences that give the anxiety its particular meaning. A precise understanding creates the basis for practical change.
Therapeutic work
How we can work together
We develop a clear, individual model of your anxiety. You learn to notice early signals, question automatic interpretations and respond differently to physical tension and uncertainty.
Where appropriate, we prepare new experiences in situations you have been avoiding. The pace is agreed together. The aim is not to force anxiety away, but to reduce the power it has over your decisions and daily life.
Frequently asked questions
What you may want to know.
Is online therapy suitable for anxiety?
Many anxiety problems can be addressed effectively by video. In the first session, we consider whether online work fits your situation or whether local in-person care would be more appropriate.
Will I have to face my greatest fear immediately?
No. New experiences are prepared carefully and developed at an agreed pace. Unexpected or forced exposure is not part of my way of working.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on the type, duration and impact of the anxiety. After the first conversations, we can estimate a realistic framework together. You remain involved in decisions about frequency and duration.
A first step
Would you like to discuss whether this is right for you?
This practice does not provide emergency care. If you or somebody else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or a crisis service where you are located.
